Pure Energy
Magazine is a newly implemented independent online magazine that is
devoted to sharing Saskatchewan’s human and natural resources with the
world.It is our hope to
highlight the vast areas of Saskatchewan’s resources to give the world a
better understanding of our province’s potential and possibilities.
A. S. Penne is the author of the
creative nonfiction memoir Old Stones (Touchwood Editions,

:2002).Her writing has won a number of awards, including the Ian St. James
Award in the

, the Writers’ Digest award in the
USA
, and the Prairie Fire Creative Non-fiction Contest.
Her writing has appeared in Explore, Western Living, and Cross
Country Skier, among others. She has an MFA from UBC and
writes both fiction and nonfiction as well as for the stage.Her most recent book is Reckoning
(Turnstone Press,

:2008), a collection of short
