A. S. Penne

Why Not Saskatchewan?

A. S. Penne is the author of the creative nonfiction memoir Old Stones (Touchwood Editions, Horsdal & Schubart , Victoria :  2002).  Her writing has won a number of awards, including the Ian St. James Award in the UK , the Writers’ Digest award in the USA , and the Prairie Fire Creative Non-fiction Contest.   Her writing has appeared in Explore, Western Living, and Cross Country Skier, among others.  She has an MFA from UBC and writes both fiction and nonfiction as well as for the stage.  Her most recent book is Reckoning (Turnstone Press, Winnipeg :  2008), a collection of short fiction.  More information on A.
